Villamartín is the established golf community of Orihuela Costa, a few kilometres inland from La Zenia and Playa Flamenca. Built around the Villamartín golf course, one of the oldest on this stretch of coast, it offers something rare so close to the sea: space. Villas for sale in Villamartín range from compact townhouses and ground-floor bungalows to detached homes with private pools overlooking the fairways. Add Villamartín Plaza for evenings out, two more courses within a short drive and beaches around ten minutes away, and it is easy to see why so many British, Irish and Scandinavian owners have made it their base.

The Villamartín golf course has been open since the 1970s and is a mature, tree-lined parkland layout with the urbanisation built around it, so many homes look straight onto fairways or greens. Within roughly ten minutes you also have Las Ramblas, a hilly, demanding course cut through ravines, and the Real Club de Golf Campoamor, set in a valley inland from Campoamor. Further south, Lo Romero at Pilar de la Horadada is around 15–20 minutes away.
