Cabo Roig is the headland that gives Orihuela Costa its most recognisable view: red rocks, an old watchtower, a small marina and turquoise coves. Its name means "red cape" in Valencian. Buyers searching for property for sale in Cabo Roig are usually after something a little more upmarket than the rest of the coast: frontline villas, apartments with sea views, quiet residential streets and the famous restaurant strip within walking distance. Cabo Roig is compact, but the difference between a street by the sea and one on the other side of the N-332 is significant.

• Frontline and the headland: detached villas and small apartment complexes on the coast around the marina and the watchtower. This is the most exclusive part of Orihuela Costa, and good plots rarely come to market.
• Between the coast and the N-332: bungalows, townhouses and apartments in established urbanisations with mature gardens and communal pools, a few minutes' walk from the coves.
• Around the Cabo Roig strip: the stretch of the N-332 lined with bars and restaurants. Convenient and lively, although homes directly on the strip can be noisy on summer nights.
• Lomas de Cabo Roig: a larger residential area inland of the N-332 with villas, bungalows and newer apartment complexes, generally cheaper than the coast and close to Villamartín golf.

Cabo Roig borders La Zenia to the north and Aguamarina to the south, so many residents use the facilities of both.
